(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The 2006 Benicassim FIB Heineken Festival has confirmed that it will moved from its standard mid-August date to the weekend of July 20-23, 2006.
The organizers explained that the festival will now avoid colliding with the summer Spanish holidays in the region.
“The celebration of FIB Heineken in the month of July will allow us to avoid the holiday rush that takes place in Benicassim during the first fortnight of August, which means that our audience will not only have a greater number of hotel rooms available, but will also be able to enjoy the region’s beaches, roads, services and tourist site more comfortably,” the organizers said in a statement.
They also added that steps are being taken to improve the events site over the next few years.
Last year’s Benicassim festival featured acts such as Oasis, the Kaiser Chiefs and Kasabian. The line-up for next year’s festival has yet to be announced. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
