AUCKLAND, NZ After some doubt about the future of Big Day Out, organizers for the popular festival revealed that it will return for 2012 and remain in New Zealand, but that they may look for new digs.
In a statement, festival producer CRS Management said "Leaving New Zealand or Auckland is the last thing Big Day Out wants to do and we are in continuing discussions with venue operators to ensure the event stays there into the future. Audience members should be confident that the BDO will return in January 2012."
Rumors about a possible move for the festival were sparked by reports that Mt Smart Stadium which has hosted the festival was looking for more money. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
