Bill Haley's Comets With Joey Welz And Al Rappa Perform For PBS Special


PITTSBURGH (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Bill Haley's Comets with Joey Welz, Al Rappa and drummer Ralph Jones, joined by Tommy Vale, guitarist Giovani and Bobby C made the scene on May 22nd in Pittsburgh to record for an upcoming PBS Special "My Music" featuring more than 50 iconic bands from the early days of rock.

The Comets performed classics from the band's catalog, including, "See you later, Alligator", "Shake, Rattle & Roll", and "Rock Around The Clock", a song tagged by Dick Clark as the anthem of rock & roll.

Among the numerous other bands in attendance were Jimmy Clanton, The Vogues, The Coasters, Mason Williams, The Crsytals, The Orlons, Mitch Ryder, The Kingsman, Paul Revere & The Raiders, Question Mark & The Mysterions and Cannibal & The Headhunters.
