Former Smashing Pumpkins' mastermind Billy Corgan's new group Zwan has signed with Reprise Records with its debut album expected in early next year.
Initially a quartet when Zwan debuted last year with Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlain, former Chavez guitarist Matt Sweeney and ex-Slint bassist David Pajo, Zwan has since added bassist Paz Lenchantin (A Perfect Circle). Pajo has switched to guitar. Zwan has lined up five radio station festivals in December:
WBCN/Boston's Christmas Rave, WXRK (K-Rock)/New York's Claus-Fest, WHFS/Washington DC's HFSmas Nutcracker, WPLY/Philadelphia's Y100 FEASTival and The Night 89X Stole Xmas for CIMX/Detroit.
