Black Sabbath Announces Initial Dates For Farewell Tour

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Heavy metal icons Black Sabbath announced the first round of dates for their farewell tour.

Sabbath will hit the road in North American with a show at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha on January 20th for a 16 date run that wraps up on Feb 25th with a show at Madison Square Garden.

The group also announced a string of dates in Australia and New Zealand, starting on April 15th at the Perth Arena, with the final show at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, NZ on April 30th.

Additional dates for the tour are expected.

Of the four founding members of the group, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler will be on the tour with founding drummer Bill Ward still apparently estranged from the group. Ward had previously said that he'd be open to touring with the band again if Osbourne would make amends for some negative statements in 2012 and 2013 and suggested that the band did not extend a 'signable contract' for him to participate in their 2013 reunion album. – Staff Writers
