Odyssey of the Mind will present its Creativity Award to Blue Man Group at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in Boulder, CO. on May 25. Each year, Odyssey of the Mind presents its Creativity Award to an individual or organization that fosters creativity, or exhibits exceptional originality or applied ingenuity to benefit society.
Blue Man Group was selected as this year's recipient because of their bold creativity. Similar to participants in the Odyssey of the Mind, Blue Man Group uses art, humor, and originality to amaze audiences. Each shows a stretch beyond the imagination.
The Odyssey of the Mind is an international problem-solving program for students from kindergarten through college. World Finals is the culmination of a year of hard work for participants. The four-day event will be held this year from May 22-25 at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Past recipients of the Odyssey of the Mind Creativity Award include the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), NASA, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Dr. C. Samuel Micklus, Walt Disney and Walt Disney World Company, IBM, and Joan Ganz Cooney.
