LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — BMG Chrysalis US has announced the acquisition of X-Ray Dog Music. The Burbank based independent production music library led by owners Mitch Lijewski and Tim Stithem contains over 4,000 tracks, and is focused on providing compositions for film, television and other forms of media, such as video games.

Under the the terms of the acquisition, the X-Ray Dog staff and Lijewski will join BMG's LA office. Lijewski will now serve as SVP, BMG Production Music North America, and will oversee the company's production music activities in the US.

The full terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

This is the third major pickup for BMG Chrysalis in the arena of film and television music and earlier the company acquired L.A. based production library Music Beyond and the existing Selectracks library.

"X-Ray Dog is a key acquisition for BMG as we amplify our US production music division to provide our clients with access to the ideal tracks for various projects," said Laurent Hubert, Creative & Marketing at BMG Chrysalis North America.
