Bon Jovi Post Top Tour Grosses For 2008

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Bon Jovi's Lost Highway tour has been earned the distinction of topping the list of the biggest grossing tours in 2008, according to Billboard. Promoted by AEG, Bon Jovi's tour through North America and Europe grossed more than $210 million from 2,157,675 fans.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band landed at #2, grossing $204.5, while Madonna, unsurprisingly, came in at $162 million (and counting) for her Sticky & Sweet tour.

Also making the list were The Police – $150 million; Celine Dion – $91 million; Neil Diamond – $81.2 million; Spice Girls – $70 million; The Eagles – $56.6 million) and Rascal Flatts – $55.8 million.

Global trends for touring remained flat and overall, there were 6% fewer concerts. North America saw a 2% decline in concert attendance, which is actually a bright spot after the 20% decrease witnessed in 2007. Overall, the concert industry reported grosses of more than $4 billion worldwide, Billboard reported. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
