Boulder International Film Festival Set To Roll


BOULDER, CO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The city of Boulder is preparing for the return of the Boulder International Film Festival, from February 12-15th.

The festival is the brainchild of two documentary film-makers, Robin and Kathy Beeck, whose films have won awards and critical acclaim in dozens of major film festivals.

The two sisters founded the Colorado Film Society in 2003 and the festival followed in 2004. Since then, they've been bringing best in indie films to the community of Boulder and last year's event drew more than 13,000 film enthusiasts.

This year's event will feature a tribute to comedian Chevy Chase, who will be receiving an Award of Excellence in Comedy at our Valentine's Gala and Tribute to Chevy Chase on Saturday, February 14th. This will include a retrospective of his work and an on-stage interview with him.

While Chevy won't be performing, the festival will feature some live entertainment, including a gig by Chris Daniels & The Kings and Hazel Miller will perform before the Chevy Tribute. Nawang Khechog, Sherefe and Michael Stanwood will perform on the closing night of the event.

Among the films featured at this year's event will be the premier of premier of Nothing But the
Truth, a documentary about former New York Times reporter Judith Miller's involvement in the Valerie Plame scandal. Other films will include Johnny Cash Folsom Prison and Anvil: The Story of Anvil; Garrison Keillor: The Man on the Radio in the Red Shoes and many more.
