AVONDALE, AL (CelebrityAccess) — An Alabama promoter is teaming up with Bowery Presents to open two new, affiliated venues in the town of Avondale.
According to the The Birmingham News, Brian Teasley, formerly the concert promoter for the Bottletree Café, is looking to open Saturn, a music venue, and Satellite, a coffee shop and bar, both expected to be open by late spring.
"My heart's really in the community and tying in events and other local stuff," Teasley told the Birmingham News. "Our mission statement is to be a really hospitable kind of place, kind of an outgrowth of Bottletree."
According to Teasley, Saturn will book up and coming acts, saying he wants to catch soon to be nationally known acts on their way up.
"I know how this should be done and how this shouldn't be done," Teasley added. "We're just kind of combining punk rock with a kind of European communal thing and put the southern hospitality on top." – Staff Writers
