Box Office Tickets Release RoBOT SpotLight

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —

Box Office Tickets Inc. has released RoBOT StopLight, a new access control solution enabling realtime ticket validation and admission control at multiple entry points for performances and venues. The system integrates wireless handheld computers, scanners, WiFi base stations and the boxofficetickets.com network into a single solution that is easy to set up and easy to use. As the barcodes on tickets or receipts are scanned, RoBOT StopLight responds with a red STOP light or green GO light, to deny or permit admission.

"RoBOT StopLight offers a low-cost, high-service solution for organizations that require flexible access control," says George Domurot, president & CEO at Box Office Tickets Inc. "Zero-configuration, auto-updating and simple operational interfaces make it very easy to use and maintain. RoBOT StopLight is one of the coolest solutions we have ever developed."

RoBOT StopLight can manage any number of handheld scanners simultaneously. Individual scanners can be easily setup to control access to a specific event, performance, type of ticket or price — giving event managers a great deal of flexibility. RoBOT StopLight also features In/Out Scan modes, Scan Logs for monitoring activity, and an optional Time-to-Go-Live countdown clock for synchronizing gate openings.

To set up the system, event managers simply log into their secure boxofficetickets.com account and assign each handheld scanner to a Program, Sub-program, Item or Price. Handhelds automatically register themselves with the boxofficetickets.com network. They will also automatically update themselves, whenever a new version of the software becomes available. –Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
