LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Despite the fact that she appears to be suffering in the throes of a very public unraveling, Britney Spears can still bank the bucks.
A recent report in Forbes Magazine painted a fairly rosy picture for the troubled singer, putting her comfortably at #14 in the top #20 earning women in music list after pulling in $8 million between July 2006-June 2007.
Her most recent album "Blackout" received a generally favorable reception from the learned music press and the public as well, topping out at #2 on the Billboard 200 and shifting more than 700,000 units, which is a pretty respectable number in these dark days.
But its not all about music for Brit. A big slice of that cake came from the sales of her perfume brand, "Curious" which, according to Forbes, grossed sales figures of $55.4 million in 2006.
As delicious as these financial plums may be for Brit, it puts her nowhere near the league of the female colossi which doth bestride this narrow world.
