LOS ANGELES (VIP NEWS) — Jeff Castelaz has announced his Cast Management has agreed a deal to represent singer KT Tunstall worldwide.
Tunstall’s fifth album, her first since 2013, is set to be released in the autumn by Virgin Records in the UK and Caroline Records in the US, preceded with the Golden State EP in June.
“I feel finding Jeff and Cast Management has been a pretty cosmic alignment of worlds for me. We share the same values and goals, and above all want to create great and lasting artistic output,” said Tunstall.
Jeff Castelaz (Pictured) has spent more than two decades at the helm of Cast, which manages acts such as Dropkick Murphys. He also served as president of Elektra Records from 2012 to 2015 and was CEO of Dangerbird Records and Music Publishing from 2003 to 2012.
“When I left Elektra last year, I sat down and drew up a list of attributes for the ideal next major artist I wanted to sign to Cast Management,” he said. “It had to be an artist who fit next to our pillar client, Dropkick Murphys, whose work ethic and ‘no-bullshit’ stance is second to none.
“When I was writing that list, I had no idea I was drawing up a precise illustration of KT: boundless artistry, clear career vision, intense work ethic, always ready to go—she`s the complete package. It didn`t hurt that KT was sitting on the best material of her already storied career, and was ready to head into the studio to make her fifth album. Because of that, it already feels like KT and I have been together for a lifetime. It`s beyond an honor to welcome her to the Cast roster." –According to MusicWeek
