NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — CBS Interactive Music Group has announced the acquisition of lyrics community Metrolyrics.com and their plans to re-launch the website with streaming content from Radio.com, Last.fm and MP3.com.
Metrolyrics is a popular consumer-oriented song lyrics database, with lyrics for more than 700,000 songs available. The site generates over 25 million unique users a month across the globe with nearly 12 million of those in the United States (comScore, Aug. 2011).
With the initial integration launching on Oct. 6th, vistors to Metrolyrics will have access to editorial material from CBS Radio properties, including exclusive interviews, personalized streaming radio and access to free MP3.com downloads of the day from artists across pop, rock, urban and country.
