Clear Channel Entertainment's Sarah Weiss has been promoted to talent buyer and has relocated from the New York office to the D.C. market. She has replaced Ryan McElrath (son of concert promoter Randy McElrath), who moved to the Chicago office.
Weiss started as an intern at Irving Plaza in New York working there full time for two years as a contract administrator and label liaison.
She then became assistant to Sam Kinken at DelsenerSlater Enterprises with the booking for Irving Plaza and other NYC area clubs and theaters. "Over four years with that office (which became SFX and then Clear Channel Entertainment)," she said, "I continued with our bookings at Irving Plaza and Town Hall as well as adding new venues such as New Jersey Performing Arts Center (Newark, NJ), Mid-Hudson Civic Center (Poughkeepsie, NY), Community Theater (Morristown, NJ), and benefit shows for Central Park SummerStage." — Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
