Chaka Khan Cancels Concert Dates, Pushes Album Back

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Chaka Khan has canceled four planned concerts in June after a doctor ordered the singer to extend her vocal rest. She has also pushed back the planned release of her forthcoming album ", The iKhan Project: Alive" from its July 2nd release date to Fall 2013.

Affected dates include The Capital Jazz Festival at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md., on June 8; the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival on June 9. She was also set to perform with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in Columbus, Ohio, on June 14 and at Joni Mitchell's 70th birthday party "A potrait in song" in Toronto on June 18t-19th.

Khan will still attend the Apollo Spring Gala, which is being staged in her honor at the Apollo theater, where she will be inducted into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
