Chicago Cubs And Wicked Top TicketsNow.com February Charts

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —

With Opening Day less than a month away, Chicago Cubs fans show their undying loyalty, purchasing an impressive 6% of all sports tickets sold on TicketsNow.com in February. The World Baseball Classic, MLB's newest controversial project, seems to have more fans than critics capturing 2.5% of TicketsNow sports sales for the month.

The Cubs made a jump to the top of the sports list and accounted for 2.8% of overall ticket sales. The Boston Red Sox reclaimed their advantage over the New York Yankees with 5.1% of sports sales to the Yankees' 4.1%.

"Baseball fans are some of the most loyal fans in the world, and we expect ticket sales to remain strong as we get closer to Opening Day," said Kenneth Dotson, chief marketing officer for TicketsNow. "For our customers, having great baseball tickets is not just about watching the game; it's about the full experience of spending the day with friends and family at a ballpark like Fenway or Wrigley."

Wicked continues its incredible run, topping both the theater and overall lists with 27.7% and 5.7% of sales respectively. Tim McGraw claimed the top spot on the concert list with 9.8% of sales in that category.
