Chugg To Stage 'Long Way To The Top' Reunion Tour

SYDNEY, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Promoter Michael Chugg has convinced some of the top names in Australian rock are set to reunite in October for the "A Long Way to the Top 10th Anniversary Concert" tour.

The tour, set to kick off on October 5th, will stop at arenas in Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane. The lineup includes: Axiom, Brian Cadd, Dragon, Marcia Hines, Col Joye, Jim Keays, Dinah Lee, Mi-Sex, Russell Morris, Ian Moss, Noiseworks, Doug Parkinson, Little Pattie, Glenn Shorrock, Spectrum, Lucky Starr, Chain’s Matt Taylor and Phil Manning and John Paul Young.

The original tour took its inspiration from an ABC TV documentary series. When screened in August 2001 it became the most successful television series documentary ever on Australian music and when released on DVD, A Long Way to the Top became the highest selling Australian music DVD in history.

"A Long Way to the Top” honors the music that changed us, both individually and as a nation. It was the soundtrack to our youth and we lived for it and by it," said Chugg. "This is a big and happy trip down memory lane, an action packed show with the big artists playing their big hits, one after the other. It doesn’t get any better than this." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
