A hearing scheduled for Monday in a lawsuit filed by the Concert Association of Florida against the Performing Arts Trust and the Performing Arts Foundation was deferred until Friday morning.
The Concert Association filed for bankruptcy in 2009 but was reorganized and restarted in May. The group is suing to regain its status as a resident company at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and to prevent the center from presenting competing concerts during the 2010-11 season, according to the Miami Herald.
A Miami-Dade Circuit Court judge appointed a special magistrate to review the evidence. Both sides are expected to testify on Friday. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
