WABASHA, Minn. (AP) — A 20-year-old woman is dead after she became unconscious at an outdoor music festival in southeastern Minnesota.
Police were called to Fat Fest at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Medics tried to resuscitate the woman, Ashley Rose Nagel of La Crosse, Wis., at the scene. Nagel was taken to Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Wabasha, where she died.
Authorities say the cause of death is unknown, and an autopsy is pending.
Fat Fest drew about 1,700 people this year for three days of music. An organizer says there have been no problems in the four years the event has been held.
