Concord Acquires Wind-Up Records & Fearless Records


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Concord Bicycle Music announced that they have acquired independent rock music labels, Wind-up Records and Fearless Records.

The acquisition solidifies Concord Bicycle Music footprint in the indie rock and alt scene following the previous acquisitions of the Vanguard and Sugar Hill Records labels.

Wind-Up Records features a roster that includes alternative and rock artists such as Civil Twilight, The Griswolds, The Virginmarys, Crobot, Young Guns, Strange Talk Revivalists, SPEAK, Aranda, and Filter, as well as singer-songwriters Five for Fighting, Jillette Johnson and Genevieve.

Fearless Records is more focused on the punk scene, launching the careers of artists such as Plain White T's, At The Drive-In, Bigwig, The Aquabats, and Sugarcult. The company's current roster includes ierce The Veil, Breathe Carolina, The Maine, Mayday Parade, The Word Alive, Motionless In White, Alesana, and Every Avenue. Fearless Records is also home to the themed compilation "Punk Goes" series.

President and CEO, Ed Vetri will continue to lead the Wind-up team in New York, working in close conjunction with Concord’s staff in Los Angeles. Fearless Records founder and president Bob Becker will continue to lead the Fearless team in Los Angeles.
