Country And Rock Acts Join Livestock Show Concert Series

HOUSTON, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The 75th Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, set for February 27-March 18 at Relient Stadium, is boasting a serious concert line-up this year, featuring Latin, pop, rock and R&B acts.

Perennial Rodeo favorite George Strait starts off the concert series on the 27th, with performances by Los Lonely Boys, Reba McEntire, Natalie Cole and Kem, Clay Walker, the Cheetah Girls and Hannah Montana, Josh Turner, Gretchen Wilson, Sheryl Crow, Alan Jackson, Pat Green, Martina McBride, Pesado and Emilio, Sugarland Toby Keith, Beyonce, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, and closer ZZ Top following over the three-week festival.

Leroy Shafer, VP and COO of RodeoHouston, said the talent lineup reflects the demands of ticket buyers, determined through extensive research by the organization.

“The percentage of non-country performances this year is 30%,” Shafer told Billboard. “That number, give or take five percentage points, has remained the same for several years.

Tickets, ranging from $16 to $300, go on sale January 13th. The event draws nearly 1.5 million tickets for the concerts at Relient Stadium. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
