HEREFORD, TX (CelebrityAccess) — Police say country singer Daron Norwood, who had a brief but successful career in the 1990s, has been found dead in his Texas apartment.
According to the Associated Press, Norwood was found dead in his apartment by his landlord on Wednesday afternoon. Hereford police spokesman Capt. Kirsten Williams told the AP that there was no indication of trauma but that the death was still under investigation.
Norwood, who was 49 when he passed, signed to Giant Records in 1993 and released two albums on the label, including "Daron Norwood" (1994) and "Ready, Willing and Able"" (1995).
Norwood quit music in 1995, citing addiction to alcohol and served as a motivational speaker, addressing drug and alcohol addiction before he released a new album "I still believe" in 2012 on D10 Records. – Staff Writers
