Cowboys Hit The Trail

CALGARY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Famed Calgary nightclub Cowboys is moving from its 9 Ave. and 5 St. S.W. location to a new spot in the city's "hotel row" in downtown Calgary. The move won't take them far, a scant five blocks. The original home of the club is being torn down to make way for new office buildings.

"We had lots of options but we wanted it to be close to the old one," club owner Paul Vickers told the Calgary Sun

The nightclub, renowned for its wild parties, beautiful wait staff and Celebrity fans first opened in 1996 and has operated since.

After a farewell "Stampede" bash on July 15 that featured performances by Teri Clark, Blue Rodeo, Buckcherry and Creedence Clearwater Revisited, the club ceased operations and prepared for the move to the new location at 425 5th Street, SW where they plan to re-open in September of this year.

Speaking of the new digs, more conveniently located near the city's major hotels, Vickers told the Sun that "It’s better for the city to have tourists and a tourist attraction on one street." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
