CRAZY DAVE’s MUSIC EXPERIENCE Introduces: 'The Student Experience' For Kids At This Year’s Festivals

ORANGE PARK, FL (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rockville offered more then just your average (like there’s anything ever average) rock experience. It also brought awareness to various charitable organizations such as “ROCK Out for Rescue,” “Fuck Cancer,” one most notable is Crazy Dave’s Music Experience offering a cutting edge program called “The Student Experience” in which they offer talented musicians between the ages of 15-18 to come into each festival early to experience hands on fun with all of Crazy Dave’s stellar instruments. In addition, they receive a private tour of the festival grounds prior to the gates opening. And as if all that wasn’t a great enough opportunity in itself, the group then gets a one on one, meet and greet with a festival artist. At Rockville that artist was Lzzy Hale herself from Halestorm, whom took the time to talk to each student and personalize and sign pictures for him or her. She expressed the importance of music in our education system and lives, and how it totally shaped her life. In addition to offering other words of inspiration to these young budding future rock stars.

“Squiggy” of Crazy Dave’s Music Experience and creator of “the Student Experience” stated that the idea to create this program for the kids came out of wishing, he himself had something like this when he was a kid. The addition/partnering of “The Music Institute” (MI) located in California – which educates students in all aspects of the music industry – really brought the whole concept to fruition. Squiggy states “I still get goose bumps when I see the kids faces light up when entering the experience, that for me is the biggest reward”. The experience shows kids that not everyone is the “Zac Wilde” one on stage – that there are so many people that make “Zac Wilde – well – Zac Wilde” for every person on stage there is a team backstage making it all happen. Point being there are so many roles and directions one can choose in the music industry and this experience is designed to give students a feel and taste of it. “This lets kids know, its OK not to be the one front and center on stage” claims Squiggy.

MI offers a 2 week summer camp called Summer Shot…. One week is industry and one is music centered.

Squiggy also went on to say “it’s one thing to tell kids about the music industry, however it’s a whole other experience to have someone like Lzzy Hale come over and talk to them about her real life experiences and offer that much need encouragement to the students. Festivals make this very accessible to bring the artists and students together.”
