ARHUS, Denmark (VIP-BOOKING) — Brian Nielsen and Flemming Myllerup, two of the owners of the Danish booking Agency Skandinavian, have sold their share of the agency after four major Danish festivals announced that they would no longer book artists from the agency as long as the agents are involved in promoting festivals Northside and the new Tinderbox in Odense next summer
Brian Nielsen says to Danish newspaper Politiken "We have had the full support of our artists in relation to our role as agents, but the problem is that our employed agents can not deal with the four festivals, as we have done in the last 25 years ".
Along with Flemming Myllerup, Nielsen was co-founder of Skandinavian in 2004. "It`s something we have built up over so many years and in respect for the artists we represent and the agents working at Skandinavian we have made the decision as they have been taken hostage in this conflict. We will not stand in their way and therefore, we will focus on our festivals going forward , "said Brian Nielsen .
Their share of the agency will be taken over by Morten Elley, while the two former owners will continue to concentrate entirely on promoting Northside Festival in Aarhus and the launch of the new Tinderbox in Odense, which is promoted with partners Beatbox Entertainment and FKP Scorpio.
