David Lynch To Stage New Music & Arts Festival

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Director David Lynch, best known for his surrealistic vision in films such as Mullholland Drive and Blue Velvet, has announced that he's launching a new music and arts festival in Los Angeles.

The two-day Festival of Disruption will take place at the Ace Theatre Hotel on October 8 and 9 and feature performances by Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, St. Vincent, Jon Hopkins, Jason Bentley, Questlove, and Rhye, as well as a special performance of music from his cult TV series Twin Peaks, featuring Sky Ferreira and Xiu Xiu.

As well, the festival will offer film screenings, including Blue Velvet and the Elephant Man, as well as talks with folks such as Mel Brooks, Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, Frank Gehry and Kyle MacLachlan and Laura Dern.

Proceeds from the event will go to support the David Lynch Foundation, which is aimed at "healing traumatic stress and raising performance in at risk populations." – Staff Writers
