NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Dead Can Dance has agreed to a joint venture with [PIAS] Recordings over the release of the band's first new studio album in more than 16 years.
"Anastasis" Dead Can Dance's 10th studio album will be released on August 16th as a CD, double LP and download, with a limited edition package to be sold exclusively via the band’s website. This will be the band's first studio release since their 1996 effort "Spiritchaser."
The group will be prepping a tour in support of their new album, with plans to hit four continents over an eight month period. It will be Dead Can Dance's first live foray since their SRO 2005 tour. Much of the tour is already sold out, including a performance at the Royal Albert Hall on 26th October, which sold-out within 48 hours of ticket release.
The band is managed by Richard Jones of Key Music Management, who also handles the Pixies and No Ceremony.
