DeVotchKa Set For European Tour

LUZERN, Switzerland (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Denver-based group DeVotchKa is set to launch their their upcoming summer European Tour in Swizerland this Friday, June 17, 2011.

The tour will include headline shows, as well as appearances at key European Summer festivals, including a first appearance for the band at this year's Glasto.

DeVotchKa is touring behind their recently released album "100 Lovers" on Anti-Records. The album, produced by Craig Schumacher (Calexico, Neko Case), features guest percussions from Mauro Refosco of Thom York’s band Atoms For Peace and members of Calexico. "100 Lovers" received critical acclaim from renowned European press. The Independent called it "a cut above most epic global-influenced rock", while Uncut stated it has "communal charge of Arcade Fire aligned to the spirit of David Byrne on a globetrotting voyage", granting the record a 4/5 score.
