Diamond Head Preps For North American Tour

SEATTLE, WA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Paramour Group has revealed that British heavy metalers Diamond Head are prepping for a tour of the U.S. in late summer, 2011.

This outing will mark the first time that the band has toured in North America, with only one appearance here in their 35-year-history when they performed at the NJ Metal Fest in 2002 for a sold out show with fellow British stalwarts SAXON and Witchfynde.

Set to kick off in Seattle on August 15th at the El Corazon, the short outing will wind down on September 1st at BB Kings' in New York before the band head back across the pond for their first appearance at the Masters of Sound/Living Legends Festival in Istanbul.

It will be a notable year for the band, marking their first appearance ever with the Big 4, the artists who they had a major influence on, at the Sonisphere Festivals in the UK, and France, then heading off to their first performances in Canada, performing with Motorhead, and Megadeth at the Heavy TO Festival in Toronto, followed by a performance with Girlschool, Motorhead, and KISS, at the Heavy Metal Festival in Montreal. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
