Dio Disciples To Pay Homage With Tour

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In a tribute to Ronnie James Dio, the late Black Sabbath vocalist who died of stomach cancer in May 2010, former band members are teaming up to tour this June.

Former Dio members Rudy Sarzo (bass), Simon Wright (drums), Craig Goldy (guitar) and Scott Warren (keyboards) will join singers Tim "Ripper" Owens (Yngwie Malmsteen, Beyond Fear, Judas Priest, Iced Earth) and Toby Jepson (Little Angels, Gun) to play as 'Dio Disciples' for a month of European shows.

James Lomenzo (Megadeth, Black Label Society, White Lion) will join the band for the European dates until Rudy finishes existing work with Blue Oyster Cult.

Ronnie James Dio's widow and manager Wendy commented, "There will never be another Ronnie, but we want to keep his music alive and hope you will support the band and become one of the Dio Disciples," according to Blabbermouth.
