NEW ORLEANS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Dr. John, the iconic New Orleans singer-songwriter has signed on an exclusive management agreement with Sam Feldman and Michael Gorfaine.
A six-time Grammy winner, Dr. John has an impressive discography, from his collection of New Orleans standards in 1972's "Dr. John's Gumbo" to 2012's "Locked Down," which featured The Black Keys' guitarist and singer Dan Auerbach and netted Dr. John a Best Blues Album Grammy at the 2013 awards show.
Dr. John, AKA John "Mac" Rebennack, Jr., has also recently appeared on HBO's "Treme" as himself and served as inspiration for the Muppets character Dr. Teeth.
Sam Feldman is a partner in Macklam Feldman Management, a division of A&F Music Ltd. which reps a roster of artists that includes Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, James Taylor and The Chieftans to name a few. Michael Gorfaine is a partner in The Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency, which represents composers such as John Williams, James Newton Howard and Randy Newman.
