Drake's 'More Life' Just Broke Record For Single Album Streams In U.S.

(Hypebot) – Drake’s "More Life" just broke the record for the number of streams from a single album in one week in the U.S., according to Nielsen Soundscan.

The previous record was set by Drake’s last album "Views", with 245 million streams. "More Life" has shattered that number with 385 million streams last week. This number represents audio on-demand streams of all songs on an album.

In addition, "More Life" sold 225,000 albums and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 combined chart with a total volume of 505,000.

Drake also broke multiple records on Spotify.

Any week artist streams: 460,587,565 streams. Previous record holder is Ed Sheeran with 450,802,674 streams.

U.S.

First week album streams: 189,720,275 streams. Previous record holder is The Weeknd's Starboy with 98,748,853 streams.

Any week artist streams: 255,690,575 streams. Previous record holder is Drake with 125,664,956 streams.
