LEXINGTON, KY (CelebrityAccess) — Just days after a drone crashed into the stands at the U.S. Open tennis tournament, another drone crashed into a stadium during a sporting event.
According to the Associated Press, the drone, operated by a student, crashed into a part of newly renovated Commonwealth Stadium at the University of Kentucky, just before a football game underway.
The dome was reportedly hovering behind the scoreboard prior to the game's kickoff when it crashed, plunging into the press box at the stadium.
No one was injured in the incident, and the university and police are considering what steps to take against the student, the Associated Press said.
