BILLINGS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — There appears to be some confusion about an August 11 booking with Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp at Dehler Park.
Dylan's website is listing the show as a go with an on-sale of July 10 (July 6 for fan clubbers,) but according to the Billings Gazette, Mike Whitaker, director of City Parks, Recreation and Land, claims does not have a signed contract with Jam Productions, the show's promoter.
"We’re doing everything possible that we can do to bring them to Billings,"’ Whitaker told the Gazette "They really want to come, and I have a commitment from them. I'd just like to have all the t’s crossed and the i's dotted."
According to Whitaker, a number of issues still need to be ironed out, including ticket prices and how the baseball field will be protected during the concert. Whitaker told the Gazette that a Jam provided him with a list of shows they've done on baseball fields and Whitaker is checking with some of the listed fields to ensure that the setup was conducted in a satisfactory fashion.
"So far, everyone said they were pleased with Jam Productions." Whitaker told the Gazette. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
