Eavis Hints At No Hiatus For Glasto In 2018

SOMERSET, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Glastonbury Festival founder Michael Eavis has hinted that the event could take place outside of its historic home in Somerset.

Since its debut in 1970, the festival has taken place at Eavis' Worthy Farm in Somerset.

According to Western Daily Press, Eavis suggested that instead of the hiatus the event takes every five years to let the land at the festival's home at Worthy Farm regenerate, they may consider a new location for the event.

The next expected break for Glastonbury would take place in 2018, but at a recent event announcing a new sponsor, Eavis said they were in planing something special for 2018.

"That is why I don't really want to have a year without a festival. At my age I want to enjoy as many festivals as I possibly can," Eavis said, according to the Bath Chronicle, "I am getting too old and I don't want to miss out on any festivals." – Staff Writers
