Edge Performance Invests In George And Martha Productions


LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Edge Performance, a venture capital trust that looks for investment opportunities in the live entertainment industry has made its first investment.

An investment of £850,000 has been made in a newly-formed promotion company, Martha and George Productions Limited. The company is headed by Clive Black, formerly a managing director at EMI records. The investment will give Edge Performance a 50% stake in the new company.

George and Martha has entered into an agreement with SJM Limited, a leading indie promoter in the UK which has promoted concerts for artists such as Take That, Oasis, Dido, Coldplay, Keane, Joss Stone, David Gray, Duran Duran, Franz Ferdinand and Green Day.

Clive Black is an industry vet with a career that spans more than 25 years. He has held senior positions at WEA Records and EMI Records and worked with artists such as Cliff Richard, Diana Ross, Kate Bush, Afrikka Bambaatta, Marc Almond, Gene Pitney, Mark Morrison, Outhere Brothers, Tasmin Archer, and Babylon Zoo.
