TOWNSVILLE, Queensland (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — After much controversy surrounding where he would perform in Australia, Elton John has announced that he will perform in the small Northern Queensland city of Townsville.
Promoter Michael Chugg announced the show for the remote city last week, proving to townsfolk that it was not a practical joke by flying to the northern coast and riding into town on a ute.
“North Queensland, Elton is locked in, confirmed and is coming here to Dairy Farmers Stadium on December 4th,” Chugg announced, according to Undercover News.
“This is a once in a lifetime chance for the North, and for me,” he said. “If it doesn’t sell out I’m in big trouble.”
