EMI Bidding, Round 2

NEW YORK (Hypebot) – Second round bids for EMI are due after U.S. Labor Day on Tuesday, a person familiar with the situation told Dow Jones Newswires yesterday. A number of buyers are aggressively bidding for all or parts of the music group currently controlled by Citigroup.


Executives from Universal, Sony and Bertlesmnan have all made recent public statements that they are taking a serious look at EMI, and Warner Music's new owner's Access Industries ambitions are less than secret.


CPP Investments is also rumored to be the the race.
