LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Eminem and his record label have been sued over allegedly using samples from a song without permission.
According to TMZ, Raymond Jones, a rapper from the group Hotstylz, claims that Eminem used a 25-second sample from Raymond's track "Lookin' Boy" for his hit "Rap God" without clearance.
"Rap God" was released on October 15th, 2013 in the U.S. as the third single from Em's eighth studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
A spokesperson for Eminem has yet to respond to requests for comments on the allegations. – Staff Writers
