SERBIA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Organizers for the popular Serbian Exit Festival have announced the dates and a partial lineup for the 2007 edition. The future of the festival had been in doubt after a legal scuffle took place earlier this year around the festival's domain name and an attempt to purchase the festival by an established production company, Komuna.
On November 9th, the Serbian Ministry of Finance formally agreed to a financial commitment 30 million dinars (around €380,000) for at least the next four years although at the signing, only one of the festivals founders, Bojan Boškovic was present. His partner, Dušan Kovacevic was busy filing a lawsuit which alleged that Boškovic and the festival's ISP had illegally changed the festival's domain name, exitfest.org registration to only Boškovic's name.
Apparently the issue has been since settled through arbitration although the details of the agreement have yet to be made public but they claim that they are in fact, not for sale.
The festival will be held this year from July 12-15 at the Petrovaradin fortress in the town of Novi Sad. Thus far the Basement Jaxx, Beastie Boys, LTJ Bukem and Robert Plant have been slated for Exit 07. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
