Fans Mourn Avicii, Family Arrives In Oman

MUSCAT, Oman (CelebrityAccess) Authorities are ruling out “criminal suspicion in the death of Avicii, who recently died during a vacation in Oman.

Avicii, born Tim Bergling, was found dead Friday in the Oman capital of Muscat. Oman is a popular vactation spot on the Arabian Peninsula.

“Two postmortems were carried out … and we can confirm that there is no criminal suspicion in the death,” Royal Oman Police told CNN.

Nile Rodgers, while calling Avicii his “little brother,” said that the DJ was drunk the last time they performed together three years ago. Rodgers said he left because it was breaking his heart.

Avicii suffered from acute pancreatitis in part from excessive drinking.

Fans gathered in Stockholm Saturday to mourn Bergling’s passing as his parents, two sisters and brother arrived in Oman to repatriate his body, according to police.
