Fifth Harmony Member Misses Show After Pot Allegedly Discovered In Luggage

WASHINGTON D.C. (CelebrityAccess) — Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui missed the group's performance in Brazil this week after allegedly being discovered with marijuana in her luggage while trying to board a plane at Washington Dulles International Airport on Tuesday.

Initial reports stated that Jauregui was arrested during the incident, but a rep for the artist has since said that she merely received a citation.

“She will address the matter appropriately through the legal system. This will not interfere with any future scheduled performances or activities,” Lauren Jauregui’s attorney, Dina LaPolt, said in a statement released to the press.

The drug has been recreationally legal in small amounts in Washington D.C. since 2014 after voters in the district approved a ballot initiative. However, the relaxation of the law does not apply to federal property and the airport is leased by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority from the United States Department of Transportation. – Staff Writers
