Flowerbooking Plans 15th Anniversary Blow-Out

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — To celebrate their fifteenth year in the biz, Chicago’s Flowerbooking has gathered their talent together to put on a total of eight benefit shows at the city’s Metro club.

Dubbed “Flower 15,” the shows will feature Flowerbooking acts like Tortoise, Minus The Bear, a Sweep The Leg Johnny “quasi-reunion,” Ted Leo, Isis, Local H, Make Believe, and the reunited Promised Ring and Smoking Popes, according to PitchForkMedia.com.

All proceeds from the shows will be donated to P.L.A.Y. (Possibilities in Life: Art for Youth), an organization formed to “provide a constructive and creative outlet for young victims of abuse.”

The full schedule will be as follows:

11/8 Local H, Detachment Kit, Hopesfall, Big Business
11/9 Minus The Bear, Pelican, Criteria, Cougars
11/10 Ted Leo/Pharmacists, Sweep the Leg Johnny, These Arms Are Snakes, The Essex Green, Just A Fire
11/11 Jimmy Eat World, American Analog Set, Maritime (early show)
11/11 Smoking Popes, Bella Lea (late show)
11/12 The Promise Ring, Make Believe, Tristeza (early show)
11/12 Tortoise, Isis (late show)
11/13 The Chariot, Evergreen Terrace, Since By Man

In addition to the shows, Flowerbooking is also currently holding charity auctions on eBay, which range from the surreal, to the extremely quirky, to the comparably mundane. 100% of proceeds from the auctions will also go to P.L.A.Y.

Highlights of the auctions include a private bowling party with Jimmy Eat World, a recording session with Ted Leo, a limited edition Interpol poster set and signed copy of the Antics CD, a Death Cab for Cutie tour prize pack, Biology tutoring from American Analog Set’s Andrew Kenny (we mentioned quirky, right?), a concert setlist drafted by winner to be played by Local H, a Q and not U Rickenbacker guitar and autographed vinyl catalog, “Jerry Springer” tickets, and many other oddities.
