Foo Fighters Prep Major Summer Tour

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — The Foo Fighters are following up the release of their latest album with plans for a major tour of North America.

Produced by Live Nation, the tour will get underway at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. on July 4th, with planned shows at major venues across the U.S., including two dates at Fenway in Boston, and New York's Citi Field as well as the previously announced, and already sold-out Wrigley Field show in in Chicago.

Royal Blood has been confirmed to support on the July/August run of these newly added dates–with the exception of August 27 in Indianapolis and the first Fenway show on July 18, which see support from hometown favorites Mission of Burma.

The tour will also feature a Beat The Bots: Box Office Only Pre-Sale designed to get show tickets into the hands of Foo Fighters fans instead of ticket brokers.

The Foos are touring in support of their 8th studio album "Sonic Highways," which dropped earlier this month in conjuction with a companion series on HBO.
