PERTH (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Michael Franti and Spearhead will headline a touring music festival headed to Australia in September, the Australian Associated Press reported.
The Up! Festival, in addition to Burning Spear will also feature Aussie acts as well, including Blue King Brown, Old Man River and Ben Lee.
Franti has said that the purpose of the festival is to inspire people to integrate their creativity into sustainable lifestyles and positive activism along with providing "kick-ass" entertainment, the AAP reported.
"My goal is to put on a kick-ass f**king show," Franti told the AAP "When people leave the festival, I want them to feel inspired and motivated. We are living in an era of cynicism. One thing that kills cynicism for me is a healthy dose of fun."
The festival tour is being promoted by the Frontier Touring Company.
