PARIS, France (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — French producer and hi-hop/electronic artist Mehdi Faveris-Essadi, better known as DJ Mehdi, has died, aged 34.

In a statement, the label said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our friend DJ Mehdi. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones."
While the cause of Mehdi's death has not been confirmed, some media reports suggested that he and several guests were ont he roof of his Paris home during a party when said roof collapsed, killing Mehdi and leaving three others hospitalized.
