Gersh Teams Up With TAG

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Agency Group and Gersh have announced a non-binding partnership designed to develop opportunities in film, TV and promotional work for TAG's clients and live bookings for Gersh's comedy clients.

According to Variety, the first collaboration between the two will see TAG client Ray Davies from the Kinks working on a B'way musical based on his catalog and Gersh client Bobcat Goldthwait adapting and directing a film based on the 1976 Kinks album "Schoolboys in Disgrace."

"Working with our friends at Gersh has enabled us to bring opportunities to these artists that we couldn't bring before," TAG CEO Neil Warnock told Variety. "And rather than being thrown at everyone as a possible service, (these opportunities) are being brought in as a very focused service for the artist."

Hot on the heels of the partnership announcement comes the news that Gersh has acquired boutique literary agency Hohman, Maybank and Lieb. The acquisition will add a client roster that includes Robert Rodat, Katherine Fugate and Allison Burnett.

According to Variety, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed, nor who among Hohman, Maybank and Lieb would make the transition to Gersh. Gersh is looking to bolster their literary division in the face of the departures of David Kopple to CAA and Sara Self. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
