Glastonbury Tickets Are Sold Out

GLASTONBURY, UK (VIP-NEWS) — This summer's Glastonbury festival has sold out, nearly five months ahead of time and with no headliners confirmed.

Organizers launched an early ticket deposit scheme in October 2008 and say the majority of fans completed their payments by the deadline of 1 February.

Any cancelled or returned tickets will be re-sold on 5 April.

The sell-out is in stark contrast to last year's festival, when 3,000 tickets remained unsold just a day before gates opened to the public.

Emily Eavis, who runs Glastonbury with her father Michael, said: "We're chuffed to bits, especially when you look at the weather outside.

"It's shaping up to be another vintage year with a brilliant line up to be unveiled in June."

Headliners for the event, which runs from 26-28 June at Worthy Farm in Somerset, are rumored to include Bruce Springsteen and recently re-formed Britpop band Blur. According to BBC
