Gloria Estefan will perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas October 10-12, 16-19 for seven
shows entitled "Gloria Estefan Live &Unwrapped." Choreographed by the celebrated film and television director Kenny Ortega (Dirty Dancing, Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal, among others), "Gloria Estefan Live & Unwrapped" is billed as an explosive multimedia experience mixing music, dance and costumes into an unforgettable concert experience. Presented in association with BOX Entertainment, tickets are priced at $175-$150-$127.50-$87.50.
"With her tremendous talent, reputation and spirit, we are very excited that Gloria Estefan chose Caesars Palace as the place to launch her first English language album in six years," said Caesars Palace president Mark Juliano. "Hosting this exclusive concert engagement is yet another achievement of our goal to make The Colosseum at Caesars Palace the best place in Las Vegas to experience the world's best entertainment."
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has a capacity of 4,100 and has been the home of Celine Dion's "A New Day…" The Colosseum has also played host to Jerry Seinfeld and will soon feature performances by Tim McGraw on July 18-19 and Mariah Carey on July 26. Dion, who gets 12 weeks off a year, returns on August 6. Word on the street has that Elton John is negotiating a three-year deal that would start in 2004.–edited by Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
